Hitchgathering 2020
The organization team of the hitchhiking championship took a decision. And we have bad and good news that we’d like to share with you.
First the bad news: The Swiss Hitchhiking Championship is not going to take place this year.
And the good news? We’ll organize instead the first Swiss Hitchgathering. And because it’s fun, we’ll have it twice this summer.
Here some facts, or as we would call it nowadays, the “FAQs”:
What is the “Swiss Hitchgathering”? We’ll meet at a place, where we will spend a weekend with the hitchhiking community. Basically, it’s like the Swiss Hitchhiking Championship, with the difference that we won’t all start at the same place.
How much does it cost? Nothing. It’s for free, just like the Hitchhiking Championship.
When is it? From July 31st until August 2nd and from September 18th until the 20th
Where is it? Somewhere in Switzerland. We are still looking for a place we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Feel free to propose a place if you know something nice.
Do we have to register for it? Yes. We want to avoid having too many people at the same place. For this reason, we limit this event to 40 people. Make sure to get a spot and register quickly.
How can I register? Use our contact form
When registering, place add your names, how many of you will come and at which gathering you want to participate.
What do I need to take with me? A tent, sleeping bag and mat. We will take care of the food, but feel free to take some drinks with.
